Simply the Best
Simply the best; better than all the rest. That must be a song?
I want us to be the best neighbors, friends, and co-workers. For the good of the neighborhood and for the glory of God. The Cornerstone is an embassy for Jesus and we should have the best reputation for such character qualities as goodness, kindness, humility, and helpfulness. We should be known as people who care, who serve, who listen.
The Bible teaches us about this in 1 Peter 4:
"If someone asks about your hope as a believer, always be ready to explain it. 16 But do this in a gentle and respectful way. Keep your conscience clear. Then if people speak against you, they will be ashamed when they see what a good life you live because you belong to Christ." - 1 Peter 4:15-16 NLT
This Sunday at the Cornerstone, we're hosting the CLARITY conference. Our guest speaker, Scott Stein, will teach us how to understand our times so that we can love our neighbors and speak in gentle and respectful ways about our hope in Christ.
Read about the conference here. I look forward to seeing you on Sunday.
