On Sunday, March 26 (Lord willing), I'll stand up to preach to the great folks of the Cornerstone Church. AGAIN. I've been preaching week after week, month after month, year after year, decade after decade. I cannot stop. Why on earth not?
Did you know that one way God punished his wayward, covenant-breaking, children of Israel was to send a famine of the Word of God?
“The days are coming,” declares the Sovereign LORD, “when I will send a famine through the land — not a famine of food or a thirst for water, but a famine of hearing the words of the LORD.” - Amos 8:11 NIV
I preach because one of the worst situations in which we can find ourselves is a “famine of the words of the Lord.” We need to hear from God.
On Sunday, we'll read Luke 4:42-44 to figure out why Jesus made preaching his priority. And why we should invest our lives in hearing and in speaking the Word of God.
We welcome everyone! Who ever you are. Whatever you believe. Wherever you’ve been. Whatever you’ve done.
The Cornerstone Church, 4025 North Road, Clyde, MI 48049.
Sundays at 10:00 AM.
